One of my favorite people on the planet sent me a little happy mail last week! It was totally the highlight of my week and I squealed with delight when I opened the package to find a print and koozie by All She Wrote Notes! I immediately found a 5×7 frame and took the picture of my children out and replaced it with the print. Does that make me a bad Mom? Don’t answer.
“Hark the Sound” is from the Carolina Alma Mater and you know I’m a Tarheel! I think back on my years in Chapel Hill as some of the most fun times of my life. I love that All She Wrote Notes also bleeds Carolina blue (along with my sweet friend who sent me the goodies). I will confess that I have a mild obsession with her calligraphy. You should totally check her website out or attend a calligraphy class if you’re in NC.
I decided on displaying the print in the foyer. What better place to declare my love for the Tarheels than right when you walk in the door?
I played around with the placement of the other items on the table a little too. The only new piece was the print. Everything else was already in my home somewhere. I’ve picked the frames up here and there over the years and the chinoiserie ginger pots were lucky yard sale finds. The table lamps are from Kirklands and Mom gave me the cloche for Christmas a couple of years ago.
Please excuse my bridal portrait. It has started to fade into a weird blue color. I have no idea why. It’s only been 11 years. One of these days I will get a new one printed.
What do you think? What’s your favorite decorative item to display in a foyer?
