Sloppy Grilled Cheese Sandwiches {Simple Suppers}

I’m all for simple meals in the summer time.  It’s hot enough in the South already without slaving over a hot stove! I’m still working Monday through Thursday so cooking on those nights is challenging anyway. I’m also always on the lookout for a quick and delicious recipe using ground beef.  We love ground beef and I cook it at least two times a week.  It seems like I alternate between hamburgers and tacos this time of year (and chili…

Fall Wreath {Cheese Box Craft}

Remember my Peppermint Wreath from Christmas? That I made from a cheese box?   Well…I happened to have another cheese box in the attic and decided to paint it up like a pumpkin!   First I let my little pumpkin wipe it down with a wet paper towel to get all the dust off. Then I gave it a little paint job.  How do you like my pizza-box-spray-paint-booth?  It took about 2.5 coats. I drew my best scary jack-o-lantern face…

Rustic Glitter Shamrock

Remember my Rustic Valentine’s Glitter Heart?  Let me refresh your memory…seriously, one of the easiest DIYs to date! Well…I decided to flip it around and add a glitter shamrock to the back of it for St. Patrick’s Day!  Now, I consider this one of my better ideas to date since St. Patrick’s Day is the next holiday after Valentine’s.  All I have to do is flip it around to get ready for the next holiday!  No, putting it away after…

Rustic Glam Valentine’s Heart Craft

If you follow me on Instagram (please do!) you know that I added a few Valentine’s Day touches to the small mantel above the stove in my kitchen a couple of weeks ago.  When I got around to decorating the mantel in my living room, I ended up taking several of the things I used in the kitchen to the living room.  Then I needed something to fill the empty spot in the kitchen.  First world problems, y’all. I’m all about…

Holiday Home Tour

Welcome to my Holiday Home Tour!  I’ve been as busy as a bee putting the finishing touches on the Christmas décor to share with you guys! We’ll start on the porch.  I found this fantastic old door at the Habitat Restore for $10!  I’m so excited to change out the decorations on it with the seasons going forward. I put an extra garland on the shelf of the coffee table and threw a few extra ornament balls into the center…

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

Confession Time:  If going to Disney World by your self is wrong, I don’t want to be right! A couple of years ago I went to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party by myself when I found myself in Orlando without my family in tow.  And it was awesome! The same set of circumstances presented themselves last month and I couldn’t resist going for a little visit! I arrived at the park around 4pm and had no problems entering even…

Boo from the Bay Bush {2014}

We’ve had all kinds of fun going on over the last week! Miss A kicked off the week with a fun and adorable costume parade at preschool. Her little class walked from their school to our local grocery store. They paraded through the store and sang two songs for the customers and parents. After their parade they had a picnic on the playground.   This was along the same time that Avery pushed down Spiderman for “trying to kiss her.”…

Mother Daughter Tea Party and Health Fair

We had a little Mother Daughter Tea Party at church a couple of weeks ago.  (I am really behind on posting.) Sister volunteered me to decorate a table.  She said it “seemed like something [I] would like.”  She knows me so well.  I drug out all my fine china, packed it up and transported it to our fellowship hall the night before the Tea Party to set up.  Each table was decorated by a different person, using their personal china, flatware…

Our Summer Bucket List {2014}

It’s a sad day on the Bay Bush as we put summer to rest and prepare for the first day of school tomorrow.  McKenna will begin 2nd grade (what?!?) and Avery starts another year of preschool after Labor Day.   We packed a lot of fun into a short time and almost checked everything off on our Bucket List.  We missed the water park, riding go-carts and riding a horse…but there’s always next year for those!    We put…

Princess Dining at Askershus Royal Dining Hall

  After a fun morning at Epcot we headed back to the room to grab a little nap and don our finest princess attire (again).   We had reservations for dinner at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall that evening.  Shortly after we checked in with the hostess we were ushered into a room to have our photo taken with Belle.  When we met her at Cinderella’s Royal Table, she was dressed in her “village clothes” (blue dress with apron) but…
