Easter

Easter

We had a positively precious Easter. It’s so much fun to celebrate all the “first” with Miranda like we did with the older girls. We met Mr. Easter Bunny a couple of weeks ago! On the day before Easter we celebrated with an Easter Egg hunt at church. How cute are those little bunny ear clips? Miss Avery racked up on eggs and candy! I was in charge of the devotion before the egg hunt and I used this one…

Universal Orlando {Vacay Day 6}

Universal Orlando {Vacay Day 6}

We finished up our trip at Universal Orlando.  Avery got to meet Diego right as we walked in the park and was giddy with excitement.  McKenna wouldn’t deign to have her picture made with him.    While Avery was meeting Diego, Chad set off to buy gloves for all of us.  It was so cold and the wind was blowing.   If Avery wasn’t already on cloud 9 after meeting Diego, her life was about to be made when we…

SeaWorld Orlando {Vacay Day 5}

SeaWorld Orlando {Vacay Day 5}

We spent a positively fun, but frigid day at SeaWorld Orlando.  It was 40 degrees and blowing 40mph. Not exactly an ideal day to visit but we decided to make the most of our time.  That’s one of the dangers of going to Orlando in January…it could be 85 degrees when you get there and 40 degrees by the time you leave.  You just never know.  That’s how the weather has been the last two times we have gone in January. But…

Magic Kingdom {Vacay Day 4}

Magic Kingdom {Vacay Day 4}

Greetings from the frozen tundra that my little corner of the world has turned into!  I’m ready for those first warm days of spring before the bugs and pollen take over. Anyway,  I thought I’d try to continue on with our Vacation recap.  As I mentioned at the end of the last post, I spent the better part of the third day at Urgent Care watching HGTV and begging for an antibiotic.   We spent the rest of the day resting…

Magic Kingdom {Vacay Day 2}

Magic Kingdom {Vacay Day 2}

We kicked off the second day of our vacation at the Magic Kingdom.  You can read about the first day at Universal Islands of Adventure here.  And just in case you are not familiar…Magic Kingdom is a Disney park and Islands of Adventure is not.  They are owned by different companies and multi-day tickets are not interchangeable between the two parks.    So my plan was to be at the Magic Kingdom at “Rope Drop” and see the characters come…

Universal – Islands of Adventure {Day 1}

Universal – Islands of Adventure {Day 1}

  As usual, January has been crazy busy on the Bay Bush.  We spent a week in Florida and I’m still playing catch up.   We decided to visit Universal Studios this time around since we all love the Harry Potter books and movies.  I debated about how many days of tickets to buy because a lot of the reviews said that the parks were smaller than Disney and wouldn’t take as much time.  They were running a promotion…

Disney on Ice

Disney on Ice

We had the most fun last weekend at Disney’s Frozen on Ice!  (Pardon all of my camera phone shots…I forgot to take my big camera and I’m not even sure that it would have been allowed in.)     Avery was in awe throughout the entire show…when she wasn’t jumping up and down or singing at the top of her lungs.  I could have sat there and just watched her the entire time and been perfectly content.  Even my little nephew,…

Thanksgiving and Myrtle Beach

Thanksgiving and Myrtle Beach

I’m doing my best to get the old blog up to date so I can post some Christmas pictures! We celebrated Thanksgiving with my husband’s family plus my Dad and Granny.  We had a wonderful meal and I’m kicking myself for not taking any pictures. I had a little accident the Friday before Thanksgiving that left me hobbling around and looking like this.  We went to the ER to make sure the baby was okay and that my ankle wasn’t…

Boo from the Bay Bush {2014}

Boo from the Bay Bush {2014}

We’ve had all kinds of fun going on over the last week! Miss A kicked off the week with a fun and adorable costume parade at preschool. Her little class walked from their school to our local grocery store. They paraded through the store and sang two songs for the customers and parents. After their parade they had a picnic on the playground.   This was along the same time that Avery pushed down Spiderman for “trying to kiss her.”…

Trick or Treat at the Palace

Trick or Treat at the Palace

We did Trick or Treating at Tryon Palace the Saturday before Halloween.  We totally found out about this at the last minute and the girls’ Halloween costumes hadn’t even come in yet.  We threw on a few dress up outfits and dashed out of the house.  McKenna had been to the gardens before but Avery had not.  They are both begging to go back and take the inside tour at Christmas now! We visited the Blacksmith’s shop first. And made a…
