A Little Christmas Cheer

Merry Christmas from the Bay Bush!

It is Sunday night and I am tired.  We have had a busy weekend filled with Christmas dinner (with my Mom’s side), Christmas play, 8 months of bookkeeping, 7 loads of laundry, 5 presents wrapped, 2 sweet potato casseroles and a partridge in a pear tree and some last minute decorating.

Mantle and Tree
I thought I’d share a picture of my mantle and Christmas tree.  I intended to post these a lot earlier but you guessed it…I am running behind schedule. Oh, and let’s pretend that I have curtains. Thanks.   I also have to tell you that one  of the sweetest ladies in the world made those stockings for me by hand and gave them to us when we moved in our house last year.

I apologize for the night time flash photography.  I am not at home in the daylight.  Ever.  Or so it seems.

Card holder
And I totally copied Jen at Iheartorganizing‘s idea for a Christmas card holder.  It was super easy.  I didn’t have a big star like she did so I made a medium sized bow and stuck it to the top of each of them.  Then I popped a few dots of hot glue on the back to hold it in place.  This is more of that ribbon from Sam’s Club that I was telling you about!  My stocking holder on the mantle and poinsettia trees are all day after Crhstimas scores from Sam’s Club.

We had our Christmas play at church tonight.  I was the proud Mama to two little angels!

Angels edit
I had my doubts as to how Miss A was going to handle the whole thing.  She did excellent for a 2 year old.  She did fight me for all she was worth backstage.  I can already tell my arms are going to be sore tomorrow. She spent most of her stage time with her hands covering both eyes. I guess she’s not a fan of the spot light. Oh, and if you happen to see a Samsung cellphone lying around somewhere. It’s mine. I haven’t seen it is ince Friday but am hopeful it will turn up soon…unlike my lost camera.   Don’t you love the Holidays?

I don’t know if I will make it back before Christmas but I hope that your Christmas is wonderful, blessed and filled with the true meaning of Christmas!

p.s.  I’m linking up to Tatertots and Jello, Serenity Now, Home Stories A to Z, and Centsational Girl!
