Gallery Wall Update

I’ve shared my gallery wall before when I posted about the oval silhouette frames.

I recently expanded it with a large wooden “J” from Scrappin Plus on etsy.  It came unfinished so I slapped two coats of black paint on it and added it to my gallery wall.

I also added a black and white picture from our last cruise in January in a black frame from Michaels (I think).

I’m not one of those people who cut out pieces of cardboard and tape them to the wall to see what it will look like and create some huge master plan for the wall.   I know that works great for some people but that is way too much work for me.

I just started hanging stuff up there and add to it where it looks best as I go.  If a piece doesn’t go or makes it out of balance, I wait until I have something else to hang to balance it out.

My only rules are trying to keep the space between the frames somewhat even and I try to keep the frame color consistent (i.e. black).

I love that the wood adds another texture and also adds a little more height to the wall. And I love my little trusty assistant that always pops up when I’m taking pictures.

So….what do you think?
