Kings Dominion Trip

When Chad asked me if I wanted to take the girls on a little getaway this weekend, he didn’t have to ask twice.  I told him my middle name was “Go” and I’m always packed and ready.  I found a coupon code online for Kings Dominion (in Virginia).  The tickets were only $29.99.  SOLD!

First, we went up in the Eiffel Tower.  It’s a 1/3 replica of the “real” Eiffel Tower.  McKenna was having no part of it so Avery and I went up together while McKenna and Chad waited on the ground.

This little girl isn’t scared of anything!

Then we headed to the Planet Snoopy area.  This area has most of the park’s ride for kids.  And parents can ride most of the rides in this area too!  This is awesome if your child is scared to ride by himself or doesn’t have a sibling to ride with.

They got to meet Snoopy!  McKenna was pretty excited since her teacher loves Snoopy.

Let’s go this way!  No, this way!

We got in line to ride the Boo Blasters on Boo Hill ride (it used to be a Scooby Doo ride) and McKenna tried to back out at the last minute.  Can you tell she wasn’t feeling it?  We made her go and it ended up being her favorite ride!

Actually – the ride broke down midway through.  We stared at this scene for a while and then one of the workers came and let us out on foot.  We rode one more time on our way out of the park.

Girls like trucks too!

We took a little break for some Dippin Dots.

McKenna drove us through the Blue Ridge Tollway.  I can remember driving with my Mom when I was little.

There were several pretty fall spots.  I really wanted a picture of the girls in front of one to make and send out a few Thanksgiving cards.  But…I realized at this point in the day they were both delirious and over-stimulated.

And then Avery punched McKenna in the throat.  Yeah.  Time to go home.

It was fun while it lasted though!
