Me and My Big Ideas

There’s something that you should know about me. 

Sometimes I get these grand notions of things that I want to do and I’m obsessed with them until I do…or until two weeks go by and I’m over it.

Kind of like finding a new food you like and eating it at every meal until you can’t stand the sight of it.  That’s me.

Somehow I got into my head that I should run a 5k.  I don’t know why.  Certainly not because I enjoy running (I don’t) and definitely not because I’m good at it (I’m not).

But somehow I’ve managed to survive Week 1 of a Couch to 5K app.  And at the end of 8 weeks I should be ready to run without embarrassing myself (hopefully). 

And I think these Couch to 5K people might be on to something.  After the first workout I ached in places that I didn’t even know could ache.  But I didn’t hurt quite as bad after the next one. 

I tell you this so you can hold me accountable…all 10 of you.  You know what happened when I tried to do the 200 situp challenge

So that’s it.  Let’s hope I can stick to it.
