2013 {in Review}

Here’s a look back on 2013 (mostly in pictures).  It was full of ups and downs, sickness and health and lots of precious memories.  I’ll do the blog favorites in review in another post.  I didn’t realize how many different trips we took until I looked back at the pictures for this post.

My parents gave us a family cruise for Christmas last year and we all went in January. It was a wonderful trip!

In February, we celebrated Chad’s birthday!  (I won’t tell you how old he was but let’s just say he’s got some miles on him.)

We also had a little snow which is rare for Eastern NC.

The girls sang in a district competition with the kids from church.  Avery mostly provided comedic relief.

I love this picture of my girls, Mom and Sister from Easter.

And one with Chad.

We hunted eggs.

We flew kites!

We jumped!

We celebrated McKenna’s 6th birthday…

with an Art Party!

McKenna finished Kindergarten!

I got a little girl time with Megan at The Childress Family

to celebrate this gal’s wedding!

We went on our annual vacation crashing trip to White Lake!

We camped in Myrtle Beach, SC with my Aunt’s family!

We went to Bible School!

We swam in our little pool!

We celebrated Independance Day at Sister’s!

We helped Daddy farm!

And helped Ma-Maw run the tobacco loader…

We took a little trip to the Mountains

We ate s’mores…(lots of s’mores!)

The girls got to visit Dollywood for the first time!

Chad and I took the girls to Kings Dominion for a quick trip.

McKenna started first grade!

And Miss Averycakes started preschool!

I got a little promotion at work and went to training in Florida for a week.  I squeezed in a little visit to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party while I was there!

The girls finished their second session of gymnastics.

And we found out that Sister is having a baby BOY on Halloween!  Meeting this little guy is what I’m most looking forward to in 2014!

We donned our finest princess attire for Halloween

Miss Avery turned 4…

and we celebrated with a Costume Party!

We went back to Myrtle Beach, SC for our annual Thanksgiving shopping trip and squeezed in a little beach time before heading home.

We made a gingerbread house!

The girls played peguins in the kids’ Christmas play at church…

and in the Nativity in the musical at church.

And Santa brought a new addition to our family!  A yellow lab puppy we named Couper!

We had a Merry Christmas!

I can’t wait to see what 2014 holds!
