Hoop Dee Doo Revue {Disney Day 4}

After our day at Animal Kingdom, we were ready for dinner at the Hoop Dee Doo Revue.  We hopped a bus to the Magic Kingdom where we caught a water taxi over to Fort Wilderness.

The Hoop Dee Doo Revue is a Dinner Theatre located at Pioneer Hall at Fort Wilderness Campground.

We chose the “Level 2” seating because Level 1 isn’t available under the Dining Plan.  We couldn’t have asked for better seats.  We were at the back table on the bottom floor.  This table was elevated about 2 feet taller than all the tables in front of us so we could see everything with no obstructions.

The food was served family style and was all you can eat.  The girls loved the fried chicken.  The menu consisted of salad, fried chicken, pulled pork, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes and strawberry shortcake!  It also includes an array of beverages.

The cast interacted with the audience throughout the show.

Each table received their own “washboard” to play along with the musicians.

The cast came out into the audience and rounded up all the kids for a parade around the hall.

We all had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the show!  It’s a great show for kids and adults.  I think the Hoop Dee Doo is a rite of passage and everyone should go at least once!

Tips for the Hoop Dee Doo Revue:

  • The Hoop Dee Doo Revue uses 2 dining credits so be sure you factor that in when planning out your meals.
  • Let them know if its your Birthday or Anniversary.  The cast specially recognizes those celebrating Birthdays and Anniversaries.
  • When the show is over, don’t hang around too long.  We made a bee line back to the pier so that we wouldn’t have to wait too long for the next water taxi.  There were at least 200 people in the audience on the night we went so it would take a several water taxis to take everyone back to the Magic Kingdom.  We watched the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom from the pier while we waited.
