Welcome to Spider Week on the Bay Bush! Okay…that’s not a real thing. But it seems like spiders have taken over around here. They were the inspiration for the Halloween Tablescape I shared earlier in the week and I decided to incorporate them into my mantle too.
I re-used a lot of my old mantle stuff but had to re-arrange a few things after I couldn’t find one of the blocks for the TRICK or TREAT blocks. One of the ‘T’s could not be located a press time so I just used the “TRICK” ones and turned the others around backwards. Desperate times y’all.
The fake rats are kind of running joke around here. Sister and I find no greater joy in life than to hide these in the other’s house only to scare them to death later. By the way, she may have found 6 fake rats in her car as she departed from her wedding reception!
The crow is a new addition this year! She came from the Dollar Tree and is mounted on wire which I just pushed down into the styrofoam of the pumpkin. She’s a creepy little addition to the mix!
The garland and the spiders on the mirror came from the Dollar Spot in Target. I love that Dollar Spot!
I think everything else has been around here for years but it was fun to mix it up a little this year!
I also moved the basket on the floor from the front porch after the kitties kept attacking it. It’s now safe and sound here in the living room.
What do you think? Do you decorate for Halloween? I’m having so much fun with it this year!
p.s. I’m linking up to Home Stories A to Z, What Treasures Await Nifty Thrifty Things The Crafting Nook and Tatertots and Jello.
Love the mantle!
Thanks so much for commenting! And thanks for stopping by The Bay Bush!
