Our sweet, beautiful Miranda turns two today! I can honestly say that I don’t know where the time has gone. She’s been the most wonderful addition to our family. It’s hard to believe we had a life before she came along.
She was born at 4:59am with the sweetest, round cheeks! She weighed 9lbs 3oz and was 22.5 inches long. We grow monster babies on the farm! She captured our hearts from the first moment.

Our lives have never been the same. She cried non-stop for the first six weeks and would only let me or McKenna hold her.

The only way to calm her down for months and months was by singing the Star Spangled Banner. And I sang it a lot. And after six weeks, she was the sweetest baby ever. And she still is!

She says the funniest things! She’s starting to speak in complete sentences and its hilarious. She looked at me the other day and said, “Gimme a high five!”
She loves doll babies! Neither McKenna or Avery ever cared much for baby dolls but Miranda loves them! She takes them in the pool, in the bath, in the car, to bed at night and all over the house.
She adores her big sisters! They are so loving and patient with her. And she wants to do whatever they do. She’s also pretty smitten with her Daddy. She runs to meet him at the door every night when he gets home.
She loves to swing! She begs to go outside from morning until noon.
She also loves to pinch. She doesn’t do it to hurt you (although it does!) but as more of a nervous habit. Every night she goes to sleep pinching the skin of my hand between my thumb and pointer finger. Her other hobbies include watching YouTube videos of dogs, toting baby dolls, climbing on the table and giving the best hugs. When she wraps her little arms around my neck I think she could get away with about anything.
She one of the most precious gifts I’ve ever been given. Now that I’ve seen how fast my older girls have grown up I think I appreciate and cherish this stage more. It goes by so fast. Two years in the blink of an eye.
Happy Birthday, Sweet Girl! You’ve brought us so much love and happiness in two years! I can’t imagine what the next ones hold! I’m so thankful to be your Mama! You are so loved!
