Easy Fall DIY Project

Free Fall Printable plus a DIY Upcycle for a broken picture frame.

Y’all.  I’m sharing the easiest upcycle DIY project in the world today.  And a free printable…AND a Blog Hop!  I mean…can this day get any better?

I had a cheapo picture frame where the cheapo cardboard stand on the back bent.  It wouldn’t stand up on its own anymore but I hated to throw it away.  (I’m sort of a hoarder when I think I can use something later.  #truth) And the frame part was fine.

I decided to DIY it into my own little printable display board!  I’m always pinning free printables on Pinterest but have actually used very few of them.  Now I have a little spot where I can display all those printables and change them out by season!

Here’s what I used…

I started by tearing the bent stand off the back of the frame.

Then I glued a piece of white paper to the inside of the back using a glue stick.

Finally, I hot glued a binder clip onto the white paper.

Since most of the printables are vertical, I did this at the top but you could just as easily do it on the side for a horizontal one.  However, once you glue it, you’re stuck *pun intended* with that printable orientation.

Once it dries, just clip in your favorite little printable of the moment.  I have a whole board of cute printables for all the seasons on Pinterest.  I’m always adding to it so be sure to follow it so you can see all the ones that I add over time.

I decided to try my hand at designing my own to use for Fall.  And you can use it too!  Just right click and choose “save as” to save it to your computer and print out.  It’s free to print as many as you like for personal use.

Such an easy project and it kept a broken frame out of the landfill, only used stuff I already had and I have a cute little spot to display printables!

    1. Me too! I have a hard time getting rid of anything I may be able to upcycle or use later. I’m getting better about it though. “You can’t keep it all,” she said as she crammed another empty canister into the craft cabinet.

  1. Love the idea of using that paper clip to hold all the great printables out there! And thanks for providing you lovely biblical quote…just perfect.
You will get so much use out of that frame. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Hugs, Lynn
